Crime alert

We are aware of a number of reports of damage to property in the Hartlepool area in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 8th July, between 4:26am and 6:38am.

Officers have received reports of two suspects wearing dark clothing in a dark coloured car, who were believed to be in possession of golf clubs and caused damage to vehicles and properties on the following streets:

🔹 Warren Road – vehicle damaged
🔹 Annandale Crescent – vehicle damaged
🔹 Motherwell Road – vehicle damaged
🔹 Wayfarer Meadows – front door and windows damaged
🔹 Hibernian Grove – vehicle damaged
🔹 Chester Road – vehicle damaged
🔹 Octavia Drive – vehicle damaged

🗣️ Chief Inspector Tom Legg, from Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are aware of reports of damage at a number of properties in the early hours of today which will have caused concern amongst our communities. I would like to reassure those victims, and the communities of Hartlepool, that a number of investigative enquiries are ongoing including house-to-house and CCTV reviews, and that we are committed to finding those responsible and protecting people.
